The oversight resulted in the continued use of the tariff rate of 91.86 seniti instead of the updated rate of 87.58 seniti during the billing process. As a result, customers were charged an incorrect amount on their power bills for the aforementioned period.
Tonga Power Limited's cashiers are proactively addressing this issue and will promptly correct the power bill amounts at our counters when customers visit to pay their bills for the month of June - July 2023. For those who have already made payments, the necessary adjustments and credits will be applied to their July power bills.
