Tonga Power Limited is the sole provider of electricity generation, distribution, and retail services in the Kingdom of Tonga, supplying power to more than 26,000 customers across Tongatapu and the outer islands of ʻEua, Haʻapai, and Vavaʻu. The company plays a critical role in supporting Tonga’s economic and social development by delivering electricity services that are safe, reliable, affordable, and increasingly sustainable, while continuing to strengthen system reliability, operational efficiency, renewable energy integration, and customer service performance in response to growing electricity demand.

Its mission is to provide safe, reliable, affordable, and sustainable electricity services for Tonga while supporting the country’s renewable energy transition through increased integration of solar, wind, and battery energy storage systems, alongside maintaining financial sustainability and improving overall power system reliability.
