Billing Guidelines

Information on our Monthly billing cycle and service disconnection and reconnection process

Our Monthly Billing Cycle

Your electricity is billed to you after you’ve used our services on a monthly basis. Meter Reading usually begins in the first week of the month and usually takes just over a week to complete the meter readings. Once meter reading for a village is completed our billing staff will compile readings and prepare it for delivery on the next day.

Power Disconnection

Your power account will only be eligible for disconnection if you have not paid the remaining amount before the due amount date as shown in your power bill. We advise customers 1 week before disconnecting your electricity.

Power Reconnection

Old Meter vs Smart Meter Customers
We will only be able to reconnect your power if you have received and confirmed payment of the remaining fee. If your power is disconnected, please immediately pay your bill at our bill payment office at the Taumoepeau Building and our Head Office at Matatoa before 12pm so that our staff can include your account in the reconnection list.
Please keep in mind that a $10 fee will be charged for the reconnection of your power. For customers who have upgraded to smart meters there is no re-connection fee, once we’ve received your payment, your account can be reconnected instantly.
